3/11/14 Residocracy.org delivered 13,440 signatures to City Hall on Tuesday March 11, at 11:00am. Less than 30 days after the city council voted to approve the Bergamot Transit Village Project, over 13,000 residents signed the referendum to veto their decision.

2/14/14 Despite a large crowd of protesters, SM City Council voted 4-3 to approve the developement of the Bergamot Transit Village Project (Hines). A “community network of residents” has launched a referendum to veto project. Called “The Residents' Direct Democracy Solution,” people all over the city are getting signatures on petitions. Many residents have deep concerns about the Hines project’s density, size and housing issues, including 7,000+ additional car trips. More information at:
