Dear Wilmont Members and Friends,

We look forward to seeing you at our meeting Tuesday night, February 5th 2019 from 6:45 PM – 8:45 PM at the Montana Library.

Mark Gold, Chair of Santa Monica's Taskforce on the Environment and Associate Vice Chancellor for Environment and Sustainability at UCLA will discuss the Task Force’s mission, objectives and scope, and who determines what they focus on in 2019. Mr. Gold will also give an overview of the water landscape and an electric vehicle update for Santa Monica. We will then have Q&A. If you would like to have him cover anything else please let us know at: infowilmont@gmail.com.

We will also have an update from the City’s Homelessness Task Force. We’ve requested they speak on its mission, objectives and scope, who manages the Task Force and determines their agendas. Further, we've asked they address what has it accomplished in 2018 and hopes to accomplish in 2019, how do people get appointed, do they have term limits, is this Task Force a City sanctioned task force and is the Task Force permanent or does it Sunset at some point? We will then have Q&A.

As well, we will have updates about Districting, EIR results at 4th/5th and Arizona, Miramar update, Gehry update and Clean Power Alliance discussion regarding opting out or choosing less than 100% renewable energy with CPA.

We look forward to seeing you,

THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME TO OUR ANNUAL MEETING AND ELECTIONS!

Twice as many people as we were expecting showed up for our Annual Members Meeting and board elections. It was a bit of a struggle to get ballots and chairs for everyone, but in the end we got it worked out. Thanks to all for your help and patience!
